Tender Loving Care (TLC) was developed specifically for all Health Care Professionals. Nurses can wash their hands up to 100 times per shift. ICU nurses can wash their hands up to 20 times per hour. Using soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizers containing at least 60 percent alcohol is harsh on your skin. Drying your hands by patting your skin, rather than rubbing vigorously, is one way of protecting your skin.
